HTML Writing

Note: Basic Web Page

Includes company logo or picture, up to 2 additional pictures and up to 20 links per page. Also includes all special formatting such as lists, text emphasis, background color, background images and text color. Assumes text provided in ASCII/text format, or some format that can be translated to text.

Please note:

These are guidelines, all of our prices are negotiable, depending on customer needs, these are basic prices. They are here because most people will back out of a page that tells them to e-mail for a price list.

• Basic page is: $35 per page.
  
• Frames - each unique frame is considered as one extra page (which it is). No other special charge.
  
• Tables Included, unless exceptionally complex.
  
• Fancy pages/sites including multiple forms, frames, image maps, scripts, and so forth. $35 per hour. We won't write a page that requires someone to download a new browser (unless you are the one selling that browser!), we will make it readable on as much as possible. Please note that it is impossible to make a page look exactly the same on everyone's machine. Even two identical computers with identical setups may look different if two different monitors are being used.
  
• Blink tags $100! Ok, we are kidding, but it really not much fun to look at. As you can see if you have a browser that supports it, is very annoying. This is probably the most hated html tag on the internet - we advise you not to use it. We've seen it used reasonably only once, to flash a warning signal.
  

Images

• Logos, buttons, and other custom artwork $45 per hour.
  
• Regular images $20 per hour. Includes adjusting color, resizing, making thumbnails, etc.
  
• Image maps $1 per link in the map. An image map with 3 links would be $3.
  

Miscellaneous

• We'll type in your text - $0.02 per word. Yes, we have had enough people handing us handwritten pages to add this one!
  
• Scan pictures - $5.00 each picture (includes any adjustments needed for over/underexposures and so forth.)
  
• Internet Research - We will find it for you, summarize, and send you the information in summary form, along with links to the details. $35 per hour. If you want everyting, in raw format, or just all the relevant links, with no summary, $25 per hour.
  
• Proofreading with copy editing (including minor HTML fixes). $3 per standard page. That means you can print it in normal font size on one standard (8.5 x11 or A4) page.
  
• Fixing HTML that was written in a "WYSIWG" HTML producing program such as MSIE or Netscape's HTML editors (or other similar) $20 per hour, or $3 per page. (note that these are never minor fixes, all these programs put incredible amounts of nonsense into pages, when there is a problem, they generally require extensive editing to even find the problem amidst all the unnecessary coding.
  
• CSS Stylesheet setup $20 per stylesheet.

• All prices are in US dollars.
  
• All bills for services on this page are payable on completion. If it is a large project, we will negotiate a payable on a percentage of completion method, with a deposit required.
